How can i catch a sandcrab?

im at holden beach in north carolina and every year i use them as bait when i fish but i cant find any right now. does it have to do with the tides?

  1. You go on the beach and dig a medium-deep hole right next to the ocean. You will find many.

    Also try digging a deep hole and letting the waves fill it up. You will find many just swimming in the hole and then dig under the sand

  3. listen up!

    they give their location away. You have to walk along the waterline looking to the freshly exposed sand after the last incoming wave has receded back to the sea. You will see this and it's like V-shaped antennae (which is what it is are above the sand and as the last returning to the sea water is rolling out they show up in clusters sometime enormous areas, but as soon as the water stops moving across them they pull back into the sand and only appear following the waves. Once you know where to dig the battle is done. But here is something for better fishing
