How can i change dairy farm into organic dairy farm?

Im dairy farm owner and i going to set up a new dairy food processing for bottling milk and cheese, but i want to know how to keep my farm organic? thanks

The land needs to be synthetic chemical free for a min of three years, & be independently tested & verified as such.

The animals need to be free of synthetic chemicals/hormones & sub-therepeutic doses of antibiotics for a min of 12 months.  In addition, you cannot exceed pasturing maximums set for organinc standards.  If the animals are feed anything but pasture, the feed needs to be certified organic.

All organic certifications must be re-certified annually.

YOu need to find the farm advisor for your area. He or she will be able to advise you how to proceed.

The Organic label is controlled by the federal government, so you can't use it until you have been certified.

To change to organic is fairly straight forward.  You have to stop fertilizing your pastures, hay, and crops with chemical fertilizers and start using organic fertilizers like manure, organic composts, green manure crops, etc.  You will have to stop using chemical pesticides on your crops and livestock. You can't use steroids and  antibiotics on your cattle.  Before you can call yourself truly organic is a little more difficult.  If you are changing over from traditional farming, you will have to farm organically for a number of years before becoming organic.  The time will vary from country to country and even state to state.  You will need to find the regulations for organic farming in your local area.

Hmmm...that's funny, one of your other questions states you are the owner of a fitness club.

Sorry...don't believe you own a dairy, or even own a cow.  As for turning a dairy organic, you would darn well know you need to start with the Government paperwork.
