If you have access to the firewall, look for a way to add the file as exception!

Too bad your not just going to let the firewall do its job!

Usually you just get a security warning thing to give your permission to keep blocking or just unblock it.

You can put this program  through windows firewall. Go to Start> Control Panel> and below "Security" you will see where it says " Allow a program through windows firewall" click there and follow direction ok.  Good Luck
