How can i change my sound output to 5:1 on my laptop?

i have bought a creative labs speaker system which has 5 speakers and a sub woofer, i am only able to plug in one cable at a time, which gives me either front, side or centre speakers, the input for the system has 3 plugs....laptop has only one for headphones

Get an external sound card.

They cost about £30 and run off a USB. The Creative labs one I have has separate outputs for c/sub, rear and front speakers as well as optical and coaxial cables for surround sound systems with built in decoders.
