My hard drive is a Western Digital and they currently offer no software for changing the acoustic management level. For those that do not know the acoustic management level is - it is a setting on hard drives that lets you choose from having your hard drive run at the best/fastest performance, and loudest, or having it run slower yet much quieter. Intel offers an application accelerator software for certain chipsets that gives you the option of changing your hard drives acoustic management level, however my chipset (Intel 925X PCI Express) is not supported by Intel's accelerator software. So does anybody out there have any information where I would be able to obtain software that would allow me to change the acoustic management level of my Western Digital Hard drive?
