How can i choose the right size surf board for me a beginner........im 5'8?

i want to buy a surf board but im not sure what size..im 5'8 and i already tried a 6'7 board and i felt unconfortable it was to big and hard to paddle................shouldi get smaller one? since im short

im 5'8" and my first board was a 7'2"... a 6'7" shouldnt be hard to paddle at all. if you go to short your board will be deeper in the water and paddling will be even harder. Also i your pop ups would be squirrley. Get a fun board.
