  1. Blot the oil with a paper towel. Then do a second pass with a towel and some rubbing alcohol.

  2. Try to get as much off with a paper towel. Then, this might sound kinda weird, get a hold of a few toilet seat covers, yes toilet seat covers that you can find in the bathrooms in some convinient stores. Use them to clean the keyboards, they absorb oil very well.

  3. first, make sure your computer is off, coz you dont want to be pressing things and undoing things unintentionally.

then what i do is get a dry cloth, damp it with windex and start wiping away! it cleans really well and gives a fresh smell (:

    hope this helps!

  4. I use the wipes that are used to wipe down kitchen tops and does an excellent job.

  5. Pour coffee in it !

Juuuuuust kidding.  Cause that ruins keyboards, if you haven't done it.  I have.  Bad news VERY fast.

Ahhhh, you CAN pop the keys off one by one.  That is, clean 'um a few at a time & KNOW where they need to go back.  Or, get a pic of a keyboard before you pop off the keys [using a spoon].  That way, you have a pic to go by to put the keys back.  And, turn the keyboard over & shake it in order to get all the crumbs, dirt & dust bits out.

And to wash those individual keys, in the sink, warm water & soap.  Make SURE they are dry before you click them back in place.

That's it  & have fun.  Oh, & BTW, around here, a new basic keyboard goes for around $15.
