  1. To remove surface rust just use the car and the breaks then it will remove the rust

  2. If they are new try laquer thinner and grease etc will be removed to ensure that your braks will work when applied

  3. Everywhere I'm searching uses Disk Break Cleaner. Just wiping off the powder helps though, but it really does not clean it!

  4. rubbing alcohol of the highest percentage you can find, thats what i use on my car, motorcycle, and bicycle.

  5. why would you want to?

There is no functional reason to clean disk brakes.  If there is a light coating of rust on the friction surface, just drive a bit and use the brakes.

Cleaning the friction surface with any sort of cleaner is STUPID because it could have a very negative impact on braking ability.

  6. well the can isonly like a 1.50 but when they are cold not hot soapy water the rinse with clean water let it try like fewminutes drive it slowly get excess water and brake gradually.
