  1. The notion of cleaning the hard drive is deleting programs. It is like saying I want to loose weight while eating three big macs and have one for dessert

  2. go to start menu and then all programs and then accessories and then system tools and then select disk clean up

it will remove the unwanted and use less files which are covering the disk space.........

  3. A slow hard drive has useless and abandoned files stored in multiple places on your computer. This is similar to having a very messy room. When you are in a rush and need to find your keys. It will take forever to find them. Same goes for finding files in your hard drive.

    1. Click the Windows button and open the Computer folder.

    2. Find and Select your hard drive, right click the hard drive icon.

    3. Choose Properties from the drop down list.

    4. In the Local Disk Properties dialog box, click the Disk Cleanup tab.

    5. Choose Files from all users on this computer.

    6. Click OK after the check box for all the files you want to delete

    Hope this helps!

  4. download ccleaner

    http://ccleaner.com/

and also go to start, programs, accessories, system tools, disk cleanup. then wait. Then tick everything on the current tab and then go to the the second tab and goto system restore and click remove(whatever button it says on the system restore bit then click ok

  5. C:\Documents and Settings\ (your user name) \Local Settings\Temp

    Delete all not needed

  6. delete all temp/unused files, defragment, clean the registry more below on how to clean up your computer

  7. If you have done a disk clean up and a defrag, and deleted history and cookies... (your internet icon that you click to go on-line, right click it, internet properties card appears, in the center, click delete and then follow the next two steps. This is like dusting and taking out the trash).  chances are that if you are trying to delete more stuff  and  do not want to delete programs, you either have a very old computer needing upgraded memory, or you have a fairly new computer moving slow from a virus. One other thing is a program called regcure, it has a 30 day trial, try that too...
