  1. after you initially clean them with Ajax, cover them with foil, cause once they get dirty it's hard for them to be like new

  2. use a abrillow pad and some warm water and scrub them aliilt or let them soak first

  3. Those are so hard to clean, once they get that way!

You can try soaking them in HOT water with white vinegar for 1-2 hours, then scrub them with an SOS type pad..

If you do not get them clean, your best bet is to buy a new set! They are fairly inexpensive ($5-10), and easier to keep clean than to get clean once they are old and caked!

I had a regular coil stove for years, and hated it. Last Winter, I bought a smoothtop range, and I definitely do NOT miss cleaning that old stove! lol

If you buy new ones, you can find them in the houseware department(near the cooking utensils, etc) of Walmart, Kmart, just about anywhere. And.....You can buy little foil liners to protect them, and toss 'em when you are done. Some people just use regular foil, and wrap around them.

    Good luck! =)

  4. I usually clean mine with an SOS pad after they have soaked for a while.  You can let them soak in vinegar, or soap and water.  If that doesn't get them clean, which it won't always, just go buy new ones at the store.  They don't cost very much.

  5. They are called  "drip pans". Cheaper and easier to replace them. Walmart carries them fairly cheap.

  6. Set them in the sink.  Sprinkle heavily with baking soda and then add enough water to make a paste.  Let them sit overnight.  In the morning everything should just fall right off when you rinse them.

  7. I don't know if this is wrong to do or not...but I take them off, put them in the kitchen sink, and I use Scrubbing Bubbles or Comet.  (Bathroom cleaners.)  I use the rough end of the sponge that I use. Then I completely rinse the stuff off and put them back on.  It does the trick!  Hope this helps!

  8. Replace them it is real cheap to housewares and buy a four pack  for like 5 bucks or something.

  9. Oven cleaner

  10. Get a large plastic bag and one at the time you spray them with good coat of Easy Off  and close the bag, leave it overnight and the next day rinse them under hot water, I do this all the time .
