  1. You're religion and age of humanity don't match buddy.

  2. Where DO you get your numbers??? Age of marriage about 2,000 years? What nonsense are you trying to put out, anyway?

We're a species of sinners because we sin, and we've been sinning ever since Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden!

How do you come to terms with that?  Turn to Jesus.  The angel of God told Mary, "You shall call his name Jesus (Yeshua in the original Hebrew), for he shall save his people from their sins."  Jesus can rescue you from your sins AND their eternal consequences.

  3. Marriage has been around since Adam and Eve, and actually reconnects man and woman that same way Adam and Eve were once one being.

Either believe evolution or believe the bible. You will find that in order to combine the two you will wind up cutting a lot more holes in the bible than you will cut out of evolution.

We are a species of sinners either way.

  4. Why do you have to come to terms with it??

does everything have to fit into a nice tight pattern??

I never understood why it was a sin anyway,,except it's a great way to kill some time and highly pleasureable and the Religions just don't like you doing things just for the sake of it,escpecially when it's pleasureable !!!!

Was it moses with the burning bush?? sounds like friction to me,must be a sin for sure !!!

  5. What humans?

  6. read the bible!! its very relaxing.

it helped me when i fell down the stairs one time! its a miracle worker! like jesus!

    yay! jesus!

  7. 100,000-200,000 years is contrary to scriptures.  6,000 years is more like it.  Even though we were born in sin and shaped in iniquity, it was not so from the beginning of human existence and it was the God's exact intent for sending Jesus, to show us that we can live above sin.  We really don't have to committ sin.  But it takes a very personal connection with God to reach this standard.  That's why God has not yet returned to this earth, He is waiting on us to reach that standard with His help. What a awesome God.

  8. You mean humans are not perfect? Awe man that explains a lot don't it.

  9. You can pray for forgiveness. Realizing that we sin is just realizing that we are not perfect, how hard is that. Every religion recognizes that we are not perfect, otherwise we would have world peace now.

  10. Marriage certificates were invented by man. That is not to say you shouldn't have a marriage licence if you ought to.  Better wed than feeling like a louse for putting your car above the one you allegedly love - and getting a licence for it without protesting that it's just a piece of paper and means nothing. Anyone who says that in regard to marriage just wants to use you in my book.

But having said that, marriage goes deeper than a certificate, don't you think?  (Sin also is deeper than the bad things we do.)  It's in our hearts. So before certificates people still got "married". Since Adam and Eve, they have been getting married.

"The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?

And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."

  11. There is good and bad in everyone. No one is all good or all bad. Why can't you say, "why don't we come to terms with all the good we have done for our entire existence? Why do Christians seem to only look at and "worship" (Yes, worship) the bad?  We are not only a species of "sinners", but a species of do gooders, shouldn't we concentrate on that?

  12. You Know, I've Never Actually Known What's So Bad About Sin.  Just Because We Say Its Bad?  Oh I'm Sorry, God Says Its Bad.  What's Done Is Done.  No Sin Effects Anyone Forever.  We've Been Around Longer than 200,000 Years.

  13. Sins do not exist.

    Only bad morales.

    Atheist.

  14. What??  This is totally illogical, not to mention outright wrong.

If marriage hadn't been invented, then it couldn't possibly be a sin to not be married.

  15. according to the bible it would be about 6,000 yrs, lol.

The first message said it all.

  16. Romans 5

12Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned— 13for before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law. 14Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come.

15But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! 16Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man's sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.

18Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. 19For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

20The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, 21so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

  17. I think marriage has been around long before 2,000 years. Jesus was born 2,000 years ago. People were getting married some time before that.

To answer your question, you come to terms with it the same way you come to terms with your own mortality. You suck it up.

  18. come to terms???

oh fiddle dee dee Scarlett, how melodramatic and much ado about nothing

  19. If you really want to come to terms with it, all you have to do is accept that there is no such thing as sin.

I don't know where you got the idea that there were no marriages until 2000 years ago.
