How can i connect my cable box on my home theater stereo?

i want to hear the sound of the tv on my stereo!!!

  1. Does the cable box have an "audio out" jack? If so, simply connect to the input of your amp/receiver. If not, you can also use a VCR ... connect the cable to the VCR and take the audio from the VCR audio out to the receiver (and the video to the TV).
