  1. you will either need a battery that supplies a constant 12-13 volts or you will need to get a transformer to convert ac to dc .


  2. Transformer's don't convert ac to dc. There is alot more to it. You would need a big inverter or power supply. Battery with charger works too. Cheaper to get a decent home stereo.
