How can i connect my laptop to wireless connection?

I'd like to how can i connect to wireless internet connection.

I have a windows xp computer that i bought years ago.

Do i need to buy usb wireless connection key to connect it ?

I wonder how people connect their PC to wireless connection..... Please help !!!

  1. Hey! You have 2 options;

    - Buy a Wireless router/hub. I got a reconditioned one of ebay for £35 and it was like brand new, a BT one too. This will enable you to have multiple wireless devices that can go on the net even when your PC is switched off, because of the seperate power supply.

    - Buy a USB Wi-fi dongle. It just plugs in a USB port on your PC, costs less than £20, and is ideal for medium internet usage.  


  2. Some laptops have built in WiFi adaptors, some do not. The older yours is, the more likely you'll need to buy one.

    USB WiFi adaptors are generally the easiest to install.

    which also just slides into a slot in your laptop people connect there desktops the same way, with wireless usb cards or PCI adapters (look here)

    so there is a few options out there for conecting your laptop wirelessly
