  1. http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductD... you can find it at gamestop or eb games.

  2. There are two ways to connect the Wii to the internet.

    1)Wireless connection

    2)Wired connection

Being that you don't have a wireless connection you WILL have to buy additional equipment to connect to the internet. So with that There are two scenarios that will work.

First go with the wired connection, you would need to buy a wire that reaches from the router upstairs to the wii. You will also have to buy Wii LAN Adapter that plugs into the back of your wii. (approx $45)

Second go with the Wireless connection, For this you would have to buy a new wireless router. However that's all you would need. Just reconnect it as your previous router is and set up the wii. (approx $45-$60)

I myself faced a similar conundrum when I bought my wii. I did option 2 and replaced my wired router with a wireless. This is also what I would suggest for anyone who wants to get the Wii connected. It is the easiest, and most reliable.

If you do go with the Second option make sure not to buy the following Belkin routers

    F5D6231-4 vers. 1000

    F5D7230-4 vers. 4000

    F5D8233-4 vers. 1022

Nintendo has announced that these routers do not work with the wii. Beyond this Look for routers that say they broadcast in 802.11G and/or 802.11B Some may broadcast in multiple frequencies, however as long as they say one of the two its ok to use with the wii.

  3. Sorry , but you need wireless

A good wireless router is less than 50 bucks and will work fine. the D-Link wireless N has a range of 400 yards so it will be more than adequate

it only takes 5 minutes to set it up too

  4. I'm sorry. As far as I know, you can not connect your Wii to the internet via ethernet cable. However there is a lan cable but I belive thats for laptops.
