  1. Recycle!!!  Use less water, as in don't let water run if it isn't needed immediately.  When food shopping, use the reusable bags that the store sells--don't use the paper or plastic bags.  Reuse water bottles.  Shop locally--using up gas unnecessarily puts more carbon dioxide in the air (and with the rising gas prices, who wants to go far anyway)!  Turn off lights in the rooms that you are not in--it wastes electricity and puts carbon dioxide in the air.  Switch your regular light bulbs to the Energy Star flourescent light bulbs to save money and less CO2 going into the air.

  2. On the wildlife front, overhunting/harvesting and habitat destruction are the two biggest threats facing most wildlife species today.

One of the best things you can do for local wildlife is to plant an organic garden with native trees, shrubs, and flowers. It's beautiful and it can attract birds, butterflies, and other wildlife to your yard.

On a larger scale, support organic farms, which are more wildlife-friendly than conventional farms, write to your lawmakers about proposed changes in the endangered status of certain species (such as the recent outrage perpetrated against gray wolves in the West), buy sustainably grown coffee, chocolate, and other rainforest products, and don't buy exotic pets (which are often illegally harvested.)

These organizations also put strong focus on habitat conservation and fighting overharvesting:

There are also many organizations focusing on individual species or ecosystems. For example, the Rainforest Action Network (http://www.ran.org/), which does rainforests, or Vital Ground (http://www.vitalground.org/), which focuses on grizzlies.

  3. Carpool, Buy a hybrid if you really need to drive, Recycle, Reuse (plastic bags), Plant trees.

  4. Please get in touch: Indian Wild Life Institute and Indian Remote Sensing Institute, Dehradun, India.

  5. we conserve wild life by not killing the wild animals.wild life can also be conserved by afforestation becuse animals like living in forests like areas full of plants.enviroment can be conserved by not spreading pollution.

  6. swap out your old incandescent bulbs for compact fluorescent lights.

unplugging your chargers and computers when you’re not using them

Turn down your thermostat in winter (55 degrees when away or at night) and up in summer (to 85 when away)

traveling with a light load will increase fuel economy. And driving without rapidly accelerating and braking also improves gas mileage

    recycle

Start a carpool with your coworkers or classmates

[reduces the amount of pollution from your car, the less cars the less pollution]

    Fly less

    [reduces emissions]

  7. You can volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center, helping the wild animals return to the wild is very rewarding and helps keep the ecosystem in balance. You may even save the life of some endangered species.

  8. You can conserve by these simple methods -

Turn lights off when you are not in room.

Don't litter any place (Don't throw waste any where)

    Use paper bags

  9. by planting more trees we can conserve environment.from afforestation we can conserve wildlife.

  10. stop using wooden furniture & use least forset products as possible.

  11. Enforce the use of renewable energy such as solar, wind, geothermal etc.

Energy efficient appliances, this reduce the consumption of energy and lighten your carbon foot print.

Alternatives to developing paper besides using trees.  For example, use hemp made paper.  This conserves the wild life homes in forests and prevents the logging industry from destroying them.

It's a start and good luck.

  12. I have heard a motto that goes something like "Reduce, Recycle and Reuse".  A few more "R" words might belong in it as well.

You would have to reduce the use of electricity and of gasoline in your vehicle.  Turning off lights is very important.  It is also important not to use any electrical light and appliance for any longer than is necessary.  The electricity that is used in houses is generated primarily by carbon fuel such as coal.  Using smaller watt light bulbs and more fluorescent lights can make a difference.  Turn off all electrical appliances after you have finished with them and use them only when necessary.

Walking and bicycling short distances instead of taking a gas-powered vehicle is a positive step.  Vehicles such as cars consume a lot of energy just starting up and shutting off.

The recycling of organic and biodegradable material that you would normally throw out in the garbage can make a difference in the quality of the soil in your immediate environment.  Composting is the most common approach in this respect, but it does not need to be the elaborate affair that it appears to be through media sources.  My grandparents on the farm used to throw out scraps from food, such as peelings and egg shells, in a secluded place, without investing in large bins and other materials that have a big expense attached.  Be kind to the topsoil.  The actual amount of arable land on this earth is precious and shockingly small.

It is very important to recycle trees that are cut down.  Trees act as a natural barrier to blowing dust, and they help to retain water in their roots, keeping the water cycle in balance.  They are also a necessary component in the exchange of gases such as oxygen and carbon dioxide in the environment.  They are necessary in the cooling process of the immediate environment, which connects in a chain to ther ecosystems.  When you cut down trees in an area of natural growth and wilderness, you should immediately replant them.  It is important that forests are replaced as soon as possible when they are cut down for the lumber industry.  Restoring older houses rather than building new ones would help to reduce the use of materials from the environment such as wood, as well as to conserve energy used in the construction process.

You should be careful about using sprays.  Although aerosol spray cans are becoming rare, chemicals that are produced in a synthetic manner do not break down the same way that natural products do.  Using unnecessary chemicals can contaminate all life, plant and animal, human and nonhuman.

Refrain from hunting.  Many endangered species of animals have acquired their status as endangered species through hunting motivated by human vanity.  I believe it is cruel to keep certain animals such as tropical birds and fish as pets.  If an animal is not easily domesticated, you should leave it out in the wild in its natural habitat.

Reuse as much as possible.  Reduce your use of paper, plastic and styrofoam materials to the best of your ability.  Using cloth diapers rather than disposable ones should not be considered as old-fashioned.

I have listed some ideas.  As you can see, most of these approaches are common sense.
