How can i contact a journalist?

I am currently trying to find a serious journalist who would be interested in writing a story on Eduard Gufeld- a grandmaster, great chessplayer, writer, professor, journalist. I am his grandaughter and I would like to share an.. almost unbelievable story that happened to his family after his death. However, I myself am not a spectacular writer and am not a journalist either, so I would really want to find someone compedent or interested enough to aid me. The story itself is in regard to criminal actions, imperfections of the law system in America, and fraud.

If anyone knows a journalist whom I can contact or if anyone is such a journalist him/herself, please let me know.

Thank you.

  1. The best thing you could do is contact the editor of your local paper, news editor, managing editor, features editor (this one would be the best) and tell them you have a story idea. Or you could contact them via e-mail, which might get you more luck. If it's a human interest piece I'm sure they would look into it, but if you're just looking for someone to write it, you will also have to look for a place to publish it, since they will more than likely be freelance.
