How can i contact a vietnam veteran?

im doing a project for school where i need to interview a vietnam vet.

There are 850,000 registered Veterans on www.vetfriends.com.  I bet you could find an interesting veteran to talk to there or even find one close to your home for a personal interview.

Contact your local VFW and explain your project. They should be able to help you. The majority are not from WWII as most of these veterans would be in their 80's and up and the majority of them have died. Viet Nam vets are now the majority as they are in their late 50's up to 70's.

Look in the yellow pages for VFW, American Legion or DAV.  Sure that if you would call one of them they would have a lot of names of people that would do an interview.

Try the Veteran's Administration office nearest you.

Do you mean former South Vietnamese soldiers who fought against the VC and NVA?  If so, you can find them doing the crappiest jobs in Vietnam!  They are the guys who clean the sewers, pedal the pedicabs and whatever cruddy job the Communist government forces on them!  

There are Australian, New Zealand, Thai, and Korean Vietnam veterans too, they fought along side the U.S. against the Communists!

Many states in America have Veterans affairs offices.  Check with you state too!

Just go in downtown area and talk to some homeless man

cause most of them are vietnam veteran.

Call your local VFW meeting hall.  Even though most of those guys are from WWII, they may be able to hook you up with a Vietnam vet willing to do an interview.
