my car overheated in the middle of downtown la, and i had to pull over in red, i saw a little market and i ran in like 2 minutes to buy some water to put in and ofcourse DOT magically appeared as i was running out... i told him my car overheated and i needed water, thats the only reason i got out the car and why my car was stopped there, all he said was, "sorry but u cant park here!" so before i started to cry i just went over to my car and put the water in my car... i dont know how leanient parking violations should be in those situations but i wasnt parked there by choice... how can i contest the ticket? its 75 bucks and for me... that's alot, besides the fact that i felt he took advantage of his authority and chose to make me feel like dirt... what should i do? i really dont want to pay the ticket, but does contesting the ticket really help?
