  1. You cant the bose remote uses radio frequencies to control its unit and the ps3 uses blue tooth.  Sorry wont work.

  2. The only way this would be possible is if the PS3 can recieve IR signals.  The Bose system uses IR blasters, located on the display, to control other devices.  If there is not a code for the PS3, which i would guess there isnt, in the Bose menu then you would have to find the master database of IR codes somewhere online and find another electronic device that uses the same coding that the PS3 does.  Unfortunately due to the fact that the PS3 is a console it will likely be difficult to find a match.

  3. You would need to pickup the device in the link below in order for this to work.  This provides an IR reciever, where you could attach the ir emitter from your Bose system to it and thereby have a means of communicating.  The next issue would be if the Bose system has the ability to learn codes, as I would doubt the codes to be included in the built-in ir library in the bose system.  The remote with the bose is RF, but the main console translates the RF codes in IR then either blasted out the front panel, or through IR emitters connected to the main console.  I haven't had my hands on a Bose lifestyle in several years, so I don't know if they have included the ability to learn IR codes, but if so, you would just take the remote bundled with this kit and learn it into the bose.  Another way would be to get a proper universal remote and have that work everything, as Bose has provided IR control codes that can be used with a universal remote.
