  1. First of all, you need to get two guinea pigs, not one. They are very social animals and are not happy at all living alone. And second of all, they are not easy animals to care for. If your parents won't agree to it, then it's a bad idea to get them. You'll need your parents to be willing to drive you to a vet on moment's notice and pay for vet care, which can get expensive. They are not hardy but have long lifespans, meaning you will most likely end up needing to give them vet care at some point in their lives. They make great pets, but they need a lot of room, time, and money put into their care.

  2. here is how i did it:

    1) make sure she knows all the facts (find a good site online and read it out or email it to her)

    2) tell herthat a guinea pig fits to your lifestyle (only if that's true)

    3) find someone that can take care of the cutie while youre on holiday. do this beforehand, trust me, its better.

    4) keep making good comments about the pigs, and show her vids on youtube so she gets an idea of how the cutie wiill really be

    5) tell her that you will share the costs for the new cage, the animal and the key equipment e.g. food bowls, bottle (and keep your promise!!)

    6) go to the petshop and ask an assistant to show you the guineapigs so your mom gets [another] idea of the pigs.

    7) finally, get them!

extra tip: when you are talking about it with your mom, always let her finish, listen carefully, dont raise yor voice and be polite. also you should be able to answer questions, so do your own little extra research

    hope i helped

  3. 1:show her youtube.com video

2:tell her to take you to the pet store and show her how they can be trained and that there not that hard to take care of(owner of 3)

3:they get along with anything  but scared of cats, and dogs

    (i have a rabbit with my 3 g.pigs)

4:Tell Her They Need A Big BUT NOT EXPENSIVE Cage

    There Usually($100-$250)

Get Them A 2-3 story place

    not anything small

  4. have her watch like youtube videos of cute guinea pigs, maybe she will cave. if not ask her politley to take you to the pet store and show her the guinea pigs and how you will take care of them and be responsible.

    Good Luck!

  5. She's probably worried that she will get stuck taking care of it. Depending on your age most parents eventually do. Show her you are responsible around the house and assure her, and commit, that you will take care of it, like feeding it, giving water and cleaning the cage. Keep telling her much you want one and maybe stick little pics around the house of guinea pigs. She may give in once she sees how much it means to you!
