  1. Just wait. You have a better chance if you don't start off your career as a child star.

  2. think of a reasonable converstation

and discuss it with her resposibley

    make a deal

you do something good or do chores or whatever

and try to convince her(in an adult way) that you are ready and responsible

    good luck

  3. I guess you could start by wowing her

Do your audition for her....she has to see the drive that you are expressing

you have sold me , now sell her on your talent....she loves you , she just does not want your dreams and feelings hurt

acting is awesome but hard and cruel to climb that ladder

    all the best!!!!

  4. tell her you'll give her your entire first check.

  5. i think you need to show your mom that your serious.

ive had the same problem with singing.

you need to let her know that you can take the rejection.

    cause it will happen.

    keep trying.

  6. im the exact same age and im trying to do the same thing!

but my parents let me tryout

cuz they no i have a passion for acting and music cuz i showed them one of my skits and they dropped dead laughing

    try it! it works!

    Hope that helped,

    soon to be movie star

  7. I love that you are so passionate about your acting career and that you take it seriously. However, at thirteen, you may not find many offers. Directors typically look for someone older. You may want to search for teen acting agencies so you can hone your acting skills so that when you are old enough, you'll be amazing at what you do. As for the situation with your mother, I suggest that you calmly sit her down and talk to her like an adult. Tell her that acting is something that you love to do, and something that you feel like you have a lot of talent in. Don't nag or whine. It may take awhile to convince your mom, you just need to be patient. Maybe you could have your dad talk to your mom with you?

  8. Your mom is probably just freaked out by all the stories of young celebrities sending naked pictures of themselves to other celebrities, going out partying all night, and shaving off their hair. Try to reassure her that you won't turn out like that, because she raised you right. Try asking her if you can audition for small roles (like being an extra, or having only one line) because (a) you're more likely to get those roles anyway and (b) she might think that as long as you don't get famous you'll still have a normal life. If she still doesn't want you to, just keep acting in plays and musicals until you're eighteen, then go for it.

  9. Make her a deal. If you go to five auditions and don't get any parts you'll drop it until you're 18.

  10. Im 13 too and have taken tons of acting classes and i try to convince my mom to let me audition but she wont let me.  She says that my education is more important.  I know what you mean...its not fair!

  11. Let her know how much money your going to make!

Promise her it won't interfere with your school work.

  12. The problem you are going to have is the fact that she is difficult and will stand in your way via her unsupportive attitude which will kill any interest from an agency that reps kids.

I would flat out ask her if she failed as an actress herself and this her way of ****-blocking your chances because of her own bitter attitude. If she says no- then ask how much she knows about acting careers to make such a judgement other than unsubstantiated rumors- then suggest you both find out the truth together!

At least you won't appear to be another stupid pretty girl who doesn't know what to do with herself and ends up embarrassing herself like this idiot:

If you are an idiot like this bubble head, then mother knows it and just doesn't want to see you spread eagle on an agents desk and wants a better life for you!

  13. Dude just keep bugging her eventually shell get tired of u asking and then say yes!

  14. you shoudl do some classes!participate in plays! build up your resume! get an agent! do auditions! get headshots!

    actinginfo.blogspot.com

    acting411.blogspot.com

    hannahmontanacasting.blogspot.com

and for an agent go to talentagents.blogspot.com and scroll down till you find city nearest you

read everythign you see! and click on words in blue but not double udnerlined ones and i suggest that you sign up with alan baltes go to first site and look at right column it explains everything! he wont be an agent just help you out and its a one time fee of 30 dollars and totally worth it!

  15. i have kinda the same problem....my mom just doesnt take my wanting to act seriously....even though i ask to try out for movies/plays/etc...

just tell her that it means a lot to you and that whatever it is your trying out for has a part just for you and that the production would be a total mess if you didnt get to be a part of it!

  16. why dont yu write a play and act it and smile a lot and be really convincing. trustme, soon youll be on every show in america

  17. let her watch the movie hairspray cuz in the movie the gurl wantz 2 akt but her mom doesnt let her but the gurl snuck away and went 2 the audition n she got accepted so she became really famous n she got a hot bf (wink wink) and if that doesnt work try asking her y  she doesnt want u 2 act

  18. You have to understand that just to audtion takes a lot of time and expense.

Maybe you can compromise by going to audtions that are being done locally. Check out your local community theatres and school productions. Mom most likely will agree to your participating in these types of groups. You can also looking into taking acting classes.

Very few 13 year olds are ready for an acting career. Please get some experience first before you go out to audition professionally. Most casting directors and agents will only see people with previous experience.

    Good Luck!

  19. you have to compromise.

    do all your chores.

    keep your grades up.

and you have to prove to her that you are good enough...does she watch your classes or plays ... just try your best and just let everything fall into place.
