How can i convince my mom to let me get my lip pierced?

i think of it as a birthday present cos she hasn't gotten me one yet D;

but she still said no.how can i convince her?

one of my relatives had their lip peirced. they were using a fork while eating and it got caught in it and ripped it out.

surely that is an event you would not like to experience

but if this is truly something you want let your mother now you are an independent person and her mother probably let her have her independence in some other form

give it some thought though if your mom comes through because this is a big and posibly painful decision

Maybe if you let her know about some other person you know who has their lip pierced & she might consider it a little more. But really, to be honest, parents are super strict. Well I always wanted my nose pierced and I asked my dad at least one week, or brought up the fact that I wanted that piercing and he said, 'not until your 18', then finnaly one day he said, 'go ahead, but your paying for it'.--that was just recently, so nothing has really happened yet.

Stop and think of all the successful and rich women you know or read about. Count how many have lip rings.If you get a lip ring start to practice saying " Sir, do you want fries with your order ".

Well tell her that you would like a lip piercing to make you look better. Try to convince her by doing everything you can. Doing well in school, cleaning the house, and whats not. Try to tell her that if she lett you get ur lip pierced that you will respect her for the rest of her life. Tell her that your not doing it like some girls do. You have respect in yourself and your doing it because you like it. Be like mom, some girls that you see with it are s***s, but ur not one. Tell her, be on point, bee likee your doing it because you like it and your not going to take advantage of it and let her down like some girls do to their parents. Tell her that your into change the world to make it a better place and that you want to prove to people that not only girls who are s***s wear that. Young and respectable girls do too and your there to prove it. If she still says no, then look if she has piercings anywhere other than her ears and use those as an advantage and bring to her, that you can have this piercing andd not allow me to have one of my own. Thats not fair. Your not cool. And if she still says no, just wait till your 18 when you can do your own thing andd forget aboutt mommy bossing you around cus ur an adult now.

well i did mine this summer but i was thousands of mile away vacationing and she didnt see till about a month after i got... theres this saying "better sorry than asking for permission" somehow that doesn't translate as well into english, i heard it in spanish...
