  1. Just explain to her that you don't like it and tell her why. Give her really good reasons why you want to quit and why you want to do the other sports.

  2. just tell her how u feel about it and how u will still be getting a workout

  3. dont qt vollyball its the best sport in the word

  4. well be honest to your mom.. tell her.... that you want to try something else.. like cross country . or field hockey...because you don´t really like Volleyball.. thats all.. and I think she will understand you ...

  5. parents should not control what you play, they can't make you enjoy it...tell ur mom that you don't enjoy playing (or whatever reason you have) and tell them you are gonna play something else...its a shame tho b/c vball is a great sport  but everyone has their own sport they love

just talk with them, yea so they might be disappointed but it is not the choice of the parents, this is your time and you are competeing...so don't worry and just talk with them

  6. just try out aND SAY THAT U DIDN'T MAKE THE TEAM IF U DID THEN JUST QUIT

  7. just talk to her about it. your mom shouldnt be able to make you play a sport that you dont like. start out slow though, like ask her what she would say if you told her you wanted to quit. if she takes it well, then you can tell her then. if not, maybe shell sleep on it, and then ask her again. tell her that its your life, not hers. you should be able to do what you want to do, not what she wants you to do. she should understand. good luck. (:

  8. just suck at the tryouts so u get cut

or if u get on the team just quit

  9. thats how i was with basketball. i went to volleyball now im going to college to play. find what sport you can never get tired of. and play a sport thats in the same season.

  10. Talk with your mother.  Tell her how you feel.  If the only reason is because your are afraid of getting cut, practice hard this summer instead.

As suggested in another answer, do not go to the tryouts and not try.  You will regret that idea in the future.  You do not want to ever do less than your best.  In anything.  If you are going to do something, always do your best.  If you do not make it, then that is different.

As suggested in another answer, do not lie to your mother and tell her you did not make the team.  You should never lie to anyone.  Once you get a reputation as a lier, you will never get anyone to believe you when you are telling the truth.

Good luck.  I ran cross country in high school and played field hockey with my girlfriend in college.

  11. Is it because you don't like it or because you don't think you'll make the team?  There's big difference.  If you don't want to tryout because you think you're going to get cut, then she absolutely shouldn't not let you quit.  But if it is because you don't like it, then your heart won't be in it and the coach will see that and not select you for the team anyway.  If you are just afraid of a little embarrassment from getting cut but you really DO like the game, then practice your butt off over the next 2 1/2 months and give it your all at tryouts.

If you don't have anyone to practice with, try this:

    Good Luck.

Sorry I couldn't tell you how to quit

  12. tell your mom how u don't like the sport and i really like cross country and if she really wanted me to be happy id be much more happier doing a sport that i can enjoy and ill still be exercising and cross country gets more exercise than volleyball since I'm running

  13. Why would you want to quit!!
