How can i convince my mom to let me wear alittle makeup?

I finally cracked her down and she lets me wear eyeliner, but no eyeshadow, i'm perfectly find with not wearing eyeshadow, but I do have a little problem. I want to wear some foundation and and concealer to help cover my acne brown spots a little better, Its because I think its really embrassing, because my acne brown spots are horrible! I know my mom just doesn't want to make it worse, but I have been wearing it, and it doesn't make me breakout at all. My whole entire family except my mother knows I wear makeup and they don't mind, because Its not like I wear it like a w***e or anything, I just want to cover my acne scar marks and help my skin look a little better. How can i convince her?

My mom used to be like that, and when I went to see my dermatologist, he actually said that it would be okay if i used some mineral foundation/cover up for my acne.(specifically bare escentuals) I dont know if this is true but I read somehwere that mineral makeup helps your skin breath better? Anyways I would just go up to her and ask "Hey mom, would it be okay if I wore a little concealer to cover up my brown spots because im really self conscious about them?".

I used to have that exact problem. My mom even went as far as confiscating my make-up when I was sleeping. You just have to just gather a bunch of reasons why and tell her. Reasons like girls my age wear 5x more make-up then me and I promise I'll only use that. When that didn't work just have your friends buy them for you and use it at school, then wipe it off before you come home. I know it's sneaky, but my mom finally just accepted it.

well, why dont you try to get rid of your spots instead ? go down to yor local chemist and ask the lady what will be best, i find that the chemists near me are cheaper than the big cosmetic shops. x

let her watch you put on the make-up.so she'll see how your going to look.tell her how it boost your self confidence.tell her why you want to wear it to hide acne spot,etc.get .use something like bare minerals have her take a look at it.it supposedly doesn't make you break out& is natural. or just get a mineral foundation/concealer since it lets your skin breathe.

Give your friend some money and let her buy your beauty products and put on at school and before you get home take it off.

Well, unless your mother went to an all girl Catholic school.  Remind her how it felt when she was in school.  Most parents forget how it was for them, but if all the other girls are wearing  make up then you should too. Just to avoid being teased by the other girls.  Try using some medicated cream that is tented for your acne and a powder base for now.  good luck, cause each mother is different.

Suggest that if you can wear makeup to cover up your scars i'll try using a product that will reduce the scar tissue so you may not have to wear it eventually, I would never wear foundation and concealer, I just wear concealer because it covers, foundation is for like if your gonna  paint your face w/ everything possible (yuck). Your mom also might agree to it if you use just one. If you never let your mom see what you look like w/o your makeup on how will she know that you actually need it?
