  1. Explain it to them. If you have protective gear on... aka goggles, you will be fine. If you are dumb enough to paintball without goggles, you will end up with a bloody hole in your skull (Your EYESOCKET!)

Just tell them that you understand and respect the dangers of paintball, and as long as you will follow the rules they should be ok with it

  2. What are you trying to convince them of?  To let you do it?  To try it themselves?  To let you set up a field in your own back yard?

  3. ask your parents if they think fishing is dangerous because fishing injuries are almost four times as much as paintball injuries. Paintball average injuries rank like .15 injuries a year. not even ONE as an average. have them maybe talk to someone who plays that is NOT a friend perhaps someone at your local field they would most likely be willing to help you out. and tell them thats its illegal in the game to not have protective gear such as a mask. Maybe tell them about more protective gear like a chest protector ( not really ever necessary but it might help you get in the game and convince the parents. It Took me a year to convince mine so i know what your going through. just keep at it and good luck

  4. Educate them. Can you get some DVDs on paint balling and the safety equipment used? Can you physically show them some safety gear? If they can't be convinced, respect their wishes and take it up when you turn 18.

  5. Do you wear a helmet and face guard?  If yes...Then there is no reason they need to be worried.  It's no more dangerous than lacrosse.  You wing things at your friends.  You do need a face guard and maybe a cup.

  6. tell them that u will never shoot somebody without a mask on and that is is really not a dangous sport

  7. You should respect your parents' decision.

  8. Have them try it themselves.  They'll love it, and will no longer say no.
