  1. I  don't know if this will help you any, but here it goes. I currently ride  a 2006 CRF250X. I'm 15 and I'll be getting my license next year. I  have had my bike for a year now, since brand new, it was a left over model.  I don't wanna let my baby go, but I don't have the money to afford a slew of engine mods to make my X really shred.  So, I'm gonna try and convince my Mom to let me sell it. Buy an R with what I get out of it, and use the rest towards my truck.  Seeing as the X sells for more than the R it appears to make a lot of sense.   I figured it's economical, and the R would be very useful as I wanna start riding the tracks more. And having a truck would definately enable me with that freedom. Good luck bud!    Try to find a used one for cheap and see if that works.  A honda or kawi or whatever will also work great for cheap.

  2. Find a local club that races and go along to watch.  See if you can get your parents involved in watching as well and just keep and obvious interest for your parents to see up.  Invest in some magazines that you can read constantly in front of them and be very helpful around the house.

  3. tell them this..."i would have a grate  time. And i might be grate at it. I could be on tv, I i would learn something new!!!!!!!!" How old are you and you should get the 105 it is like the 85 but is big wheel.

  4. assure them that it wont be used on the road, only in fields/ off road tracks. Get all protective equipment.

Tell them that you want to prove that your responsible enough to get a car when your 17 by showing them you can look after a bike, without wrecking it, or youself.

  5. you cant... if they feel it is too dangerous....they will NEVER change their mind..

your best bet is to take them to a race and hope like mad that NOONE wrecks.... forget that someone WILL wreck

sad really because learning to ride a motorcycle teaches you thing that nothing else can .... like combining speed with a lack of control hurts....(very useful when driving a car at the tender age of 16)

nevermind it is the ultimate tool for teaching kids that they are responsible for their actions.... goof around= gets banged up
