  1. I might just suggest that you say this

If i get a cell phone i can keep contact with you and if I'm lost or in trouble i can call you anywhere anytime

    then continue with something like:

i am responsiable enough and will take care of it you can also watch my bill by going on line

    thats it hope I helped.

  2. Maybe they think you're to young to have one. Or maybe they can't afford to have another phone on their plan.

  3. explain them what the dangers are of not having a cell phone. tell them that society these days is very dangerous and there are people lurking around in almost every corner waiting to take advantage of a small girl.

  4. tell them its for safety, or if your out somewhere and need to let them know something important. i know theyre stupid ideas, but i cant think of anything better right now :/

  5. find a way to let them know how important it is to have one nowadays, like somthing could happen and if you dont have a ce phone how can they reach u u know? its liek a necessoty in the world now.

  6. Aren't the TRAC phones prepaid?  If you earn money from babysitting, yard work, etc., save this up and ask your parents to help you choose which prepaid phone and plan to get.  This approach will show them that a) it's important enough to you that YOU make an effort toward it and b) you respect them enough to ask their advice.

Also, they may know that you'll be more cautious of your minutes and keep better track of where your phone is if YOU bought it than if they handed it to you.  This is called "investment."

I say this as a parent that this approach worked on for more than one type of situation.

  7. Yeah, my parents were like that too. I had a tracfone for about 4 years and believe me, you'll hate those things quick. Did you try to tell them why it would be important for you to have a cell phone or what if something dangerous happened? I have told my parents about plans too. Well, soon enough they started to think about it and then that's when i got my little black razr v3. Also try and look on at&t's site for refurbs, some of them are free (like the razr v3 refurb) but cost about $20 for activation. It won't come with text messaging but you can get 200 texts for $5-$10 a month. But if your friends have at&t cell phones you can call them for free. Check it out, it might just save you!

  8. Well girly! I know this is not the answer you are looking for but everything in life happens at it's proper time and we need to know how to wait for when they are supposed to come to us because worrying about it will only stress us with not having what we want when we could be putting our minds to better use.

I think that maybe your parents see that you are not mature enough to have a cell phone because you don't want to wait for their time to give you a cell phone and mature people know to wait and accept that people make decisions in their own time. Now I am not saying you are not a mature person because YOU ARE, you are mature, smart, sweet and a great girl but I think that if you let go and stop asking them they will see that you have grown and that it is time for you to have a cell phone. Wait for the time they are comfortable and give them reasons to trust you, and respect their time and they will give you a cell phone. Girly, I will talk to you latter. Please take care okay?
