How can i convince my parents to go to australia in 2009 with my cousin.?

i would like to go to australia for christmas of 2009 with my cousin. she will be 20 at the time and i will be 16. i however do not know how to go about asking my parents because i am afraid they will just say no right off the back. and my mom will be worried about us going to a different country alone and if we will be able to take care of ourselves. any ideas of how to convince them will help a ton.

make a deal with ur parents saying that youll give up tv during the school week if u get to go

I wonder where you are living now? Tell you this much, Australia would be right there at the top of the safest countries to visit. Get lots of brochures, and the more info you can give your parents about travelling and living in Australia, the better your chances will be. Also, how you are conducting yourself now even tho you are at home, will show them how sensible you can be etc. You will have a ball, so long as you have commonsense. Hope you achieve your dream!!
