  1. Okay, well I have this same problem with my mum. I am 12 almost 13..

But when I started staying after school, I asked her if I could go up to the city before our cheer leading game and practice. And then I told her "I'll be with a group of friends, I won't talk to random people, and I will make sure that I don't get murdered(((He he))) and we will be SUPER careful, I promise." And she said "okay just be careful."[: . So just ask her "Mum, since I will be with a group of people, can't I go to the city? I will be very careful."

  2. Ask her. If she believes your responsible enough she might let you (my mom would and i'm fourteen and responsible) Tell her you'll have your phone on you. And that you'll earn the money you need. (do a full housecleaning) make your house sparkle!

  3. Sorry but I am an adult.  There's no way I would let you go into the city with some other teens about your age.  You are not ready for that.  In this case, mom and dad know best.

  4. Okay well I am 13, and my parents trust me enough to let me do that, as long as I have at least one friend and we HAVE to stick together. But all you have to do is create a bond with your parents and make sure that they know that they can trust you. And if they know that they can trust you then that's good but if the reason that they wont let you is because they are afraid that something is going to happen to you, then go with more than 1 person, so that you have MORE protection of things that are around you. I hope that this helps you!

  5. I happen to agree with your mother.  If you are 14 you need adult supervision if you are going to go out.

  6. As long as it's during the day, I see no real problem.

    Tell her:

    You'll call every hour

You won't talk to strangers (ha ha)

    Where you're going

When you'll be home (and be on time or you know you won't be able to go again

    Who you're going with

Exactly how you're getting there and back

As long as you keep calling her to check in, it ought to be a big factor in proving you're all right

    Good luck.

  7. What city?  I wouldn't yet let my 14 year old go into a large city like Manhattan yet.

  8. You are not old enough and when you are old enough, you will realize that your mother is right. There are plenty of people looking to take advantage of kids. Also, if you did find yourself is trouble, it would be a disaster.

  9. I don't really understand why you wouldn't be allowed to go into the city with an adult.. maybe its just where you are from

Ive been allowed into the city since I was about 10 but younger if i was with a group of friends
