How can i convince my parents to let me watch R rated movies that have nudity.?

Look im just wondering because i wanted to see harold and kumar escape from guantanamo bay, it has some graphic nudity. Im not perverted. Im 13, and i appreciate good movies ( like michael clayton, lucky number slevin, saving private ryan...). I just want to be able to watch a new variety of movies. Im allowed to watch anything rated R as long as it doesn't have nudity. Just trying to help your answers.

Gosh I used to go through that same argument with my parents when I was 13. It's the worst right? You don't always just watch movies for nudity! Some of the most incredible films have nudity in them, it can't be avoided. But tell them that there are so many great films that have nudity, that you may be missing out on something beautiful and worth while because of something so minor as nakedness! You are not watching it for that, but the quality of the film.

It's a tricky subject and you just have to convince them that you're interested in cinematography.

So your parents have no problem with you watching graphic violence but they object to nudity & s*x scenes?  Saving Private Ryan has an opening scene so graphically violent, World War II veterans who lived through the event who were invited to the premier couldn't sit through it but your parents didn't object to you watching it?  

I wouldn't even attempt to persuade your parents to allow you to watch a film with either nudity or scenes of a sexual nature but I would seriously question their judgement in allowing you to watch the other films, the only suggestion I would have to make is that one or other of your parents sit with you while you watch, close your eyes when the scene comes and they can tell you when to look again or you could do what every other child has done since the invention of celluloid don't tell your parents and go watch it at your friend's house

Get your own tv in the room and get the dvd when it comes out..and don't tell them.

do you have a laptop? Download it on your laptop and watch it with earphones.

Or buy it on DVD and watch it on your laptop or over at your mates...

They only have your best interests at heart which is why they dnt want u watching it. Explain your love of movies and maybe suggest they watch it to see first.

Still, do you think your mature enough to watch it? Then I know youll get your hands on it anyway.

my parents are old fashioned and they let me see r rated movies.

its just a movie.

i don't know how to help.

i don't get why they won't allow you to see it. so what it has nudity.

like you said you aren't perverted.

have you seen titanic that has nudity in it.

thats about the only arguement i can think of.

yes there is some extra graphic nudity that a 13 year old probobly shoudnt see but who knows maybe your more mature than most.

Brizon, what you need to do is to learn to become very persuasive. Read things by and about Socrates, who is regarded as the most persuasive man that has ever lived. Once you learn to be persuasive, lots of doors will open for you, and you can make millions of dollars as a commissioned salesman. Seriously.
