How can i convince people to make our environment green & clean?

To convince people you have to show them the effects of the problems today, such as global warming, get inside their minds and make them feel guilty for what they have done to the world. Once that has happened, they will soon start to give back to the world. Also, try to use logical problems and solutions.

It depends on what you mean by "green and clean."  Sounds all well and good at first, but the "green" policies put forth in Northern California have destroyed the forests and put thousands of people out of jobs.  Many small communities have turned to drug manufacturing (i.e. meth, not pharmaceutical drugs) because they are no longer able to work, due to these "green" policies.

If a meth lab explodes in the forest, and nobody sees it, is it still "green"?

Religious people have been programmed not to feel for Nature for many centuries ,

to make exploitation of nature easier, and to make war on animals acceptable

to do any convincing go to Europe most people there are already convinced

the best way to convince people is by setting an example.  I know it sounds lame, but it usually is the method that works best.

You can't. Many folks are just to unmotivated to take any matter into their own hands. Americans do not like sacrifice or self regulation of any kind.

Our environment can never be totally green & clean, just a lot more than it is today.

People on the fence get turned off by the radical nature of many of the Environmental messengers. If you do the math, so much of the hype is really about "feel good" practices, that are way too costly for the actual benefit.

Living "green" is really about using LESS of everything, and using what you must in a sensible way. There is too many Green advocates running around yelling & screaming like little spoiled kids, trying to "raise awareness". Everybody is trying to raise awareness about something. If they are so aware themselves, why don't they actually do something concrete about their pet cause.

I get better results showing people my miniature utility bills than I do by getting in their face preaching to them.
