How can i cook lentils in my steamer?

any good food to add them to make a tasty meal too? the lentils I have are brown

Lentils need to be boiled in salty water, and then flavoured.

soak your lentils over night and steam until soft, and cook as you wish, you may add chopped onion, finely chopped garlic and some chilly powder.  heat some butter add a little olive oil fry chopped onion and garlic, add cooked lentils and salt and pepper to test. Good luck
