  1. If no one knows then that means you diagnosed yourself. WRONG.

That is not the way to go. And if it is OCD, you must have treatment for it, whether medication or therapy or both. You need a professional to help you live with your condition, a healthy and happy life. OCD, untreated, makes one miserable and depressed. So do yourself a favor and seek out help. There are ways to do this discreetly so close friends don't find out.

  2. the only way you can do it huni is to tell someone. i knew i had OCD for 3 years before i told someone. you dont need to tell parents or friends but you do need to tell a doctor. seriously its the only way you will recover and it isnt as bad as you think honestly, i was terrified to tell my doctor but they can help.

this site should help you, theres a link there to an ice breaker sheet to help you tell your doctor and theres a forum there to talk to other people (such as me haha) let me know if you manage to get onto the site.

    hope this helps

  3. a lot of people have OCD its not that hard to conquer you just have to do the opposite of what it says. ie; if it says to wash your hands 12 times only wash them once, or if it says you have to knock on the door 3 times or else you are gonna get bad luck only knock once or ring the doorbell.  By doing that you are conquering it, it is like a monster and the only way to get rid of it is to conquer it.

  4. I am honest about it and make a joke of it...I say oh it's just another one of my mad OCDs. I find people just don't react if you are smiling on the outside and just think it's nothing serious.

I find it also helps me when I am about to have a melt down that I can just be myself with people.

  5. Can't means won't,the best thing to do is talk about it even if it is with a helpline for OCD sufferers there must be some websites that cover these problems

  6. The best thing is to tell others.

I think I have it and wish I had it sorted out before as it caused me alot of mental anquish before!
