how can i copy my windows xp sp2 installation cd to a blank cd to create a new win xp sp2 installation cd. coz i want to have a back up on my win xp sp2 cd for any trouble or breakage of the cd. but the problem is i have only one cd writer and no one else. how can i copy my win xp sp2 installation cd to a blank cd using only one cd r/w?

  1. If you u have a CD writing sofware (  Like Nero ) You can select the option "Copy CD" at the starting of the burning. It will ask you to put the source CD, after copying the content in a temp workspace it'll ask for Destination CD during that time you can put your CD-R. You'll get same image as that of the original.

  2. You have to copy the contents of the installation cd to your hard drive  then download nlite and create a bootable iso with it. then write it to a blank cd and youre ready.

  3. You need a software like CloneCD to copy it.

    All you do now is  Copy CD/DVD

    I have done the same, It can happen, the the original get scratched or breaks. Now you have at least a back up cd.
