How can i copyright an idea of a book i haven't written yet?

i submitted the synopsis of my new fantasy novels on yahoo answers and j'm afraid someone mjght steal it very original it's ..i'll begin writting the series on2012 and i'm afraid someone has taken my idea from answrs..i live in egypt now..but j hope to publish my work in america .....so how can i guarantee my rights?i'm 16

  1. No, i doubt u can get a copyright on a synopsis of a book but i think the best way to make sure no one takes your ideas is to take the question off of yahoo answers. Even if some people have seen it i don't think that too many people will take your idea and make a book out of it. I wouldn't worry too much since is it just a synopsis

  2. You can't copyright an idea, only the finished written expression of that idea. If you don't want anyone to steal your ideas, don't post them until you are finished. Find someone you trust to give you feedback privately.  

  3. Maybe just type it up in a book and make sure you STAMP IT WITH ORIGINALITY.     Sign it and stuff.   Then if anyone steals it.   Just remember you have the "Book" on it.    

    That's the fast way.
