How can i copyright my songs?

I wrote some songs and recorded them but i want to know how to copyright my lyrics.

The Poor Man's Copyright.

Step 1: Write out all of your lyrics, preferably each one separately.

Step 2: Fold them, and put into a standard letter envelope.

Step 3: Buy some stamps from the post office

Step 4: Send the mail to someone else that you trust, and then have them send it back to your address.

This is legal, and it will be copyrighted. You can take this document to court if someone else tries to steal your stuff.

There are certain sites you can go to copyright things like that.try looking some up on google.

Yes, but you  will have to pay a fee for each one. Look up 'copyrighting', or something like that. The copyright office is probably  in Washington. There will be paper work to fill out. You also want to avoid companies that offer to do this for a fee.
