How can i correct my last name on my birth certificate?

my last name is cruz and on my birth certificate it says croz. so were here in los angeles can i go and correct that letter? my mom did some things wrong so i have 2 social security numbers and im using the one that says cruz,but cannot use it cuz i gotta use the one that says croz (the original ssn given to me) and im having trouble keeping my credit cuz imma loose it from the other ssn
