The best way to convince her is to ask her to take you to a seconds store, if price is what she is worried about.  If you go to a consignment store you can get the same shirt for less than half the price!

You didn't say what her objections were. If they are expensive and your family is poor, you cannot convince her and should not try.

If you are a girl and she doesn't want you to look like a boy, again, you can't convince her.
