I have a lovely beige cardigan that is quite boho, im going to accessorise with gold bangles/large gold earrings, and headband. However, i have some gorgeous tan wedged boots, but don't know what to wear for the bottoms? Skinny dark jeans would be good, because i want to tuck them in my knee high tan boots, so you can see the detailing on my boots.

However, i dont think jeans are very boho, and won't complete the look. Is there anything that i can replace the jeans for something else??

What do you sujest?

Thanks..x*x

  1. I think you've already got it down. Jeans should be fine! Although skinny jeans, are not very boho, I agree, don't over analyse, boho is after all meant to be about freedom as well. Not every tiny element of a look needs to be boho for the outfit to look good. I like boho/ethnic style as well and admittedly I occasionally obsess about getting 'that' look, but in the end I often just end up over thinking. An outfit with boho touches can be just as nice!

However if you want an alternative to show off the boots, how about you find a skirt that will go with it? Something tiered maybe?

Just for an idea style wise, as I don't know the exact colours:

    I love this!

For some good deals check ebay as well:

Plus if it gets too cold for a skirt, you could add some patterned pointelle/lace tights maybe?

  2. You could get a floaty, beaded, hippy skirt off your local market, but there's really no need...

The boho police aren't gonna arrest you for wearin your skinny jeans!

Anyway, if you want to accentuate your boots, they'll be perfect; even more so than wearin 'em with a skirt.

So what is this detailing that we're talkin about?

  3. You can buy ankle length leggings which are great to wear as trousers. Not the ones you see under dressed though, there longer and better, more boho definatley, I bought a pair from Zara and I love them, they'd look great with this look! x

  4. Jeans are fine but long skirts are boho too

  5. i think dark jeans would be fine, you can get wool trousers which look great if youre not to self-conscious, or if wearing a skirt or dress, grey wool tights look nice in the winter
