How can i cut myself out(my actualy position i'm in not the box) of a picture and paste my self into another?

okay i want to cut myself out of a picture(being in the acutal position i'm in not the square that is used on paint) and paste it onto a background like myspace layout site defaults are like.

help?

Im not sure if my answer is what you're looking for but on "paint" you can click the like  star cutter at the top left corner and cut along to edge of you picture then copy and paste. This is kinda hard though.
