I'm not one to complain to the general public about my problem, so i won't

i'm just gonna let you know, i've tried just about everything to deal with my stress, and sooner or later it stops working, and i continue to get stressed all over again, and i recently started having chronic headaches.

also note that things like, "try keeping calm in stressful situations" is useless, because it is easier said then done and it just makes me more tense

  1. Honestly, you should go talk to someone.  What you are experiencing sounds kind of like anxiety.  If you are in school, go talk to a school counselor, if you have insurance you should look up a mental health professional.  They may be able to help you with an outlet to just talk to or give you medication to deal with the stress/anxiety.  What seems to be a trigger for it? School? Work? Home? If you don't know, a counselor might be able to help you pinpoint it too.

  2. I deal with stress by doing those things that I enjoy the most.  It is a way to keep your ming in positive thoughts. It works.

  3. Take up knitting.

I am not joking. It is extremely relaxing, Stimulates the mind, while at the same time is mindless, you can create something, it passes the time, You can make friends with other knitters it gives you something to think about other than your stress, without resorting to drugs.

It also helps you become more patient if you are not a naturally patient person. Look up a local yarn store in your area, and find out if they are having a beginners class.

The person who said exercise, is right as well. Although I am very inactive and I can't vouch for that personally.

  4. Stress really is dreadful but the one thing that helps me deal with stress is meditation or Yoga is a really good stress re leaver it helps alot if you get headache alot you should try getting more sleep and when you do sleep dont leave the tv on. You can also try throwing the negative things out your life and live it to the fullest. Identify why you are stressed all the time and then get rid of it stress is not good for your body trust me i know good luck.

  5. make one day every week to relax and avoid all stressful situations. i find massages, hot tubs, and lots of sleep very helpful. i also try to stay away from people who say "calm down" all the d**n time. good luck

  6. You need to learn Deep Breathing exercises which DOES help with stress, Also you should talk to your Dr about what's going on and why you're so stressed out.  Or else go to your local Mental Health Facility and get a therapist where you can learn how to Deal with the Stress.

They go on sliding scale fees so EVERYONE can afford it and every county in the USA has one.  Good Luck.

FYI - I learned the deep breathing and it did help but When you're stressed its Hard to remember what to do Unless you've been doing it for a long time.  You can also try medications but you'll need a Dr to prescribe that for you.  Best Wishes.

  7. Exercise often, it will help.  Also always force yourself to have good thoughts even when you don't think you can or don't want to.  Tell yourself that you feel great every morning when you wake up and throughout the day.  Smile even when you don't want to.  Keep correct posture instead of slouching into a 'C' shape.  Take everyone else's advice and practice deep breathing exercises, do yoga, and see a doctor.

  8. Practice meditation on the breath for at least one hour a day:
