How can i decorate for a Russian themed party?

I'm having a party with a Russian theme- does anyone have any ideas for decorations? I'm thinking Russian palace type thing.

i think you should go for little russian flags as decorations and some of the country dishes

lots of little matrioshka-- russian nesting dolls (you can pick them up at markets eg here in bristol every sat st nicks market) and ive noticed ikea selling them too!

napkins in red or flagh colours, mini russina flags, search online,

why not try russina style shot glasses (100ml) with iced bottles ofgood quality vodka on tables instead of champagne.

search internet for russian party foods, russain salad is good (like potoato salad but with cooked peas cubed carrot and green beans added)

Borschch-- Russian beetroot soup, you can buy packet mixes in any Polish shop but in Polish its called Barszcz.
