How can i decrease the grip on my shoes?

ok so i have some shoes that i dance in

(michael jackson imitator)

and the soles on them shoes are rubbery which create grip when im trying to slide

eg. moonwalk, sidewalk

is there a way i can get rid of the grip?

i need the shoes quite smooth so i can slide even on carpets

i need an answer quite quick as i have a talent audition coming up

  1. You might try a little powder on them - maybe cornstarch or baby powder on the soles to help them slide on the floor.  That won't work as well on carpet as on wood/tile floors.


  2. the griptape from a skate board or anytype of sandpaper would work. just sand the sole down till its smooth i skate and my shoes get worn out quick due to grip tape

  3. Put polish on the soles

  4. sand them down with a little bit of sand paper, that will smooth them out.


  5. the only way really is to wear the souls out by using them alot..I think you could probably get away with putting some kind of wax on them too.That would probably do the trick.If they are bumpy souls then why dont you sand paper them down???I dont know about the last suggestion, think its best not to use that one, but the wax is a good idea.
