  1. If you're running Internet Explorer, turn auto complete off..

Tools > Internet Options > Content > Auto Complete Tab > Clear Forms and uncheck all of the boxes and hit ok.. Clearing the cookies and history is a good idea too.. that's in the general tab..

  2. Place your mouse pointer over the area you want to change and select it. You will either highlight the entire search or just the pointer location. In either case be sure to position the pointer and right click the mouse. You can then either backspace or use the delete function to remove unwanted character sets.

You will also have to delete the history and cookies files in Internet Options under your Tools selection. The same goes for the down arrow on the Google and Yahoo search windows. You will need to open these windows and  right click "Clear History". This will delete the search information. The site you are logged into or are viewing will show on the lower address bar in your computer screen. The only way to prevent this from being visible is to hide or move the toolbar/task bar.

    Good luck

  3. For Internet Explorer: Click on Tools. Then Internet Options. Click on Content and then Auto Complete. Then click on Clear Forms. This will erase your search history. If you don't want things showing up again in your search history then deselect the Auto Complete options at the top. Be sure to select apply or ok at the bottom.

  4. Tools > Internet Options > Clear History

  5. Tools, internet options, general tab - you should be able to clear webpages from there.

  6. turn off the cookies or go to internet options and clear out the cookies and all web searches.  I think its located under tools
