How can i deodorize my volleyball kneepads?

they smell disgusting...like, gross, like a fishy smell almost? ugh. its just driving me insane! i put them in the washing machine every other day, sometimes every day and they're STILL disgusting smelling! and i let them air out too. is there anything i can do to deodorize them or is it hopeless? =(

WASH THEM!!! or by new ones, if they are that horrific.

my mom uses odor ban on mine, it is a cleaning product, sh mixes in just a little. it kills germs and eliminates the smell. hope this helps!

I used to just wash mine and that was ok.  So me thinks it's time for a new pair!  I played rough and hard, so I can imagine what kind of action you're getting in on!

I used to have the same problem. All that slipping and sliding makes my knees sweat! lolz. But I got this one oder eliminator. It worked really well. My kneepads never smell anymore.

THROW THEM IN THE WASHER AND THEN HANG THEM UP OUTSIDE WHERE THEY GET A NICE BREEZE

"Air" them when not in use, don't just hide them in your bag.

Wash them with your hand... air dry.

try ferbreeze that usually works for me or your pair may jsut be old and u may want to get a new pair.

The person who said not to wear the knee pads is insane. Please do not take that advice!

Anyways, I used to just wash mine and spray febreeze(or whatever) on them and let them sit out over night.

Don't wear them! I played college ball and we were not allowed to weat knee pads.  I had always worn knee pads through high school,  It was a little hard to get used to, but if you are sprawling correctly you should not hit your knees at all.  Your hips may be a little black and blue for awhile, but you will get used to it!  Godd Luck!!

try febreeze and see if that works do it everyday, if it doesnt try to but baby powder on them, do that everyday as well. if that doesnt work then just get a new pair. i have played for 3 years and im on my 4th or 5th pair. hope this helps, good luck with your season!
