How can i develop my english knowledge??

by watching tv shows and movies, especially documentaries, since the narrators tend to speak more slowly and enunciated more carefully in documentaries.

by reading anything you can get your hands on.

and by talking to people!!

that's really the best and only true way of learning a new language: when you just have to make yourself understood and communicate with a native speaker.

*Firstly read  The Times of India

*besides read a lot of good english books.

*Learn 10-15 new words from the dictionary and try using them.

*watch  news in english and good english movies and TV programmes.

*try to stay in the company of english speaking people and hear

  them speak english ask them to correct you.

*try and speak in english as much as possible.

*try talking to your self in front of the mirror in english.

Learn Lots of books..Keep practicing what all you learn.Have a habit of finding the meaning of five english words daily.Put in Practise what you learn.

Read aloud English literary works....you can start with news papers and Reders Digest......you need somebodies help to learn correct pronunciation.....get hold of old books fiction, war stories Scientific fiction writen by well known authors, read them aloud ..thats the key

Hi,

If you are looking at improving your english knowledge, following things will definitely help you

1. Learn the english grammer perfectly. I would recommend to start from the school grammer books if you are new to english. This is very very important.

2. Build up good vocabulary. Create yourself a list words grouped based on the topic. For example, Health, Accidents, Economy, Praise, Criticise are some of the Topics. Daily keep adding new ones and revising old ones against these topics in your notebook. Soon you will have good vocabulary. Do not try to by heart words from dictionary or any other alphadetical listings as you will soon forget them. Topic based grouping is the best way to build vocabulary. Try to use the words whenever you get an oppurtunity.

3. Pronunciation of the words is also import. You can download WordWeb (free dictionary) and you can listen and learn pronunciation of words on your PC. You can listen from http://m-w.com (Merriam-Webster) website. You can record and playback your pronunciation to make any necessary corrections.

This will help you improving your spoken english knowledge and also helps in understanding english better.
