How can i download recorded shows from verizon dvr?

i have a verizon fios hd dvr box. i want to download a recording to a usb. i know it has a usb port just dont know how to use it.

The USB port isn't active as of yet.  Verizon does have plans for that port, but hasn't activated yet.  It is still in progress.  To record a show from DVR you have to do it the old fashion way to a DVD.  Then use the DVD in the PC/laptop.

Just for a point of interest, if you don't know.  You cannot record On-Demand, but you can record PPV on the DVR.
