im 15...and compared to the rest of americans i eat very healthy...im a vegetarian so no meat for me. i love fruit and veggies and i dont eat fried food like ever...only every once in awhile.

however, desserts are my one weakness...i LOVE brownies...they are my ultimate favorite...but they are very unhealthy =/ i also love cookies and cake and basically any dessert food.

thats where i eat up a lot of calories...if i eat healthier dessert-wise then i would be very very healthy...

soo when it comes to dessert how can i be more healthty? i have so many cravings...like what are some low-fat options for dessert? and dont say fruit..bc i have fruit all the time...thats not dessert for me...i consider dessert something chocolately. it doesnt have to be non-fat just low in fat

thank you :)

  1. Well.

    1) Gushers have 25% of your daily vitamin C...you can call this semi healthy.

    2) Several cookies (aunt/grandma spunkinheiser) have iron, calcium, and some healthy fat (though, more saturated fat)

Try things like quakers peanut butter chocolate granola bars...those taste good, have whole grains, 10% daily calcium, some iron, 2grams of protein, and only 100 calories.

If you plan to eat cake/icecream, try to make it an icecream cake. Icecream has alot more fat than cake, so you will be limiting the icecream in it.

  2. Oh my God I am struggling with the same exact thing! I don't eat bad either it's just the desserts!

I need help with this too but I'll tell you some things that I do.

    1) Chew and spit. You will only get less than or half of the bad stuff like calories and whatnot.

    2) Go to the grocery store and look in the freezer section for the low fat dessert things. Like the other day I found a good sized Healthy Choice microwavable fudge cakes (it came with four small cakes) that was only about 200 calories. It was pretty good too! It even had hot fudge drizzled on top! They are kinda like big brownies but they aren't too big.

    3) Moderation. Like if you get a cake or something, when you go to eat it, just cut yourself like a bite or a piece then walk away and eat it. Rather than standing over the cake and eating it, then you won't feel as tempted to keep going.

  3. omg i hav the same exact problem! my day just doesnt seem complete until i eat sumthing really chocolatey. but lately i'v just been eating 4-5 hershey kisses after dinner and it makes the cravings go away. eventually im gonna start eating 3-4 then 2-3 etc to see if i can wipe out the cravings all together. good luck
