How can i edit my pictures so that they look like those professional ones?

I also dont want to buy a really expensive photo editing program, i have one already, but it doesnt have that many features.

aside from using make-up pre-photo shoot, and good lighting & photography itself, there are some tutorials and tools with photoshop or others, you can achieve very good quality touch ups, there may be lighting filters and rendering that can add mystique to the photo in general,

mainly using layers  with airbrushing, gaussian blur, masking selections, adjust  levels, hues, and colors, some clone stamp and heal tools, not much smudging,
